STEM CELLS IN THE NERVOUS SYSTEM

Stem cells from the patient himself (therefore with no ethical problems), are extracted from the bone marrow. They are the purified and concentrated and two hours after extraction are implanted with an ultra selective catheterism in the affected brain area. 

These cells will regenerate the damaged nervous cells, getting back their altered functionality. Our early experience is very promising.

It is a treatment available for Stroke, Parkinson, Alzheimer, Multiple Sclerosis, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis and traumatic medular seccions.

STROKE

Strokes of Cerebrovascular accidents are a lesion caused by the interruption of blood flow that nourishes with oxygen the brain.

If treated early: in the first 6 hours of onset of the neurological deficit, we can dissolve the coagulum. For this we sail with a microcatheter (very small tube) and infuse thrombolytics (anticoagulants) which will disintegrate the clot, restoring blood flow into the brain.

VERTEBRAL FRACTURE IN OSTEOPOROSIS

Osteoporosis causes thousands of fractures per year in diverse body parts, one of the most common places is the back. With a fall or physical strain one or more verterbrae collapse causing vertebral (spinal) fractures.

Verterbroplasty is done injecting acrylic cement inside the vertebra, allowing it to strengthen and transmit weight towards the feet, stabilizing the spinal cord.

Laser Nucleoplasty has a high exit rate, low recurrence and very few complications.

This procedure is being used in the USA, Europe, Japan, China, India, Korea, Center and South America with more than 50,000 procedures allready done around the World.

The Percutaneous laser disc decompression (PLDD) received Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval in 1991. since then, many technical readjustments have been done, making this procedure even more secure and efficient.
